The Biblioteca Jaume Fuster is a landmark public library in the heart of Gràcia, presiding over Plaça de Lesseps with a striking geometric structure. It was designed by architect Josep Llinàs and opened on 13 November 2005. The building, which won the FAD Architecture Prize in 2006, occupies around 5,000 m² and is the largest public library in Barcelona. The library is organised over four floors, with a basement and three levels above street level. It houses an auditorium with capacity for 245 people, three multipurpose rooms, an exhibition space, a multimedia classroom, a children's area, and a music and film room. The collection comprises approximately 108,000 documents, including books, magazines, newspapers, and electronic and audiovisual materials. The interior is bright and spacious, with long tables and individual study seats. The library is a very popular spot for students and freelancers, and is known as one of the most used centres in Barcelona's library network. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building, and there are computers for public use. There is also a cafeteria on-site, which is a good option for a break. The library shares the building with the Municipal Archive of Gràcia and a cafeteria.
